Catherine Earle’s newest work is a continuation of her visions of life particles, which she believes are in and around us at all, times. For the past five years, she has been paying close attention to organisms, their life cycle of birth and death, the issues of beauty and loss. The present apparition found in her paintings of natural forms and the divine shapes of creatures is an indication of her pursuit in understanding life mysterious appearances. Earle feels comfortable with the cotton of watercolor paper, a soft and alive support where the uses of wet on wet layers colors layers are still applied. She has slowly added acrylic paint, making it the preferred medium in the birds and flowers expression. Earle is also ready to welcome change, experimenting with encaustic, collages, canvas and board. The artist’s aim is that her paintings might provide an entry for perceiving our microscopic and infinite world with a deeper vision, where life expresses itself in a triumphant beauty.
